Susan Hiller (born 1940) is an American-born artist living in London, UK. Influenced by the visual language of Minimalism and Conceptual art, Hiller has been recognized for making use of everyday phenomena and cultural artefacts from our society. Through a consistent exploration of the paranormal, she has revisited the work of many artists such as with “Homage to Yves Klein” (2008), “Homage to Marcel Broodthaers Klein” (2009) and “Homage to Joseph Beuys” (1969-2009) to unearth unstable yet value psychological constructs like rationality and consciousness, as well as re-assess areas of culture where women and the feminine have been conversely privileged
